ABOUT GITA KURDPOOR
Gita Kurdpoor is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between murals, light and digital art, painting and site-specific projects.
Born in the Kurdish region of Iran, she moved with her family to Belarus at the age of two and later to Berlin, the city she calls home. Growing up across different cultures has shaped her perspective and continues to inform an artistic practice rooted in intuition, empathy and openness.
Guided by intuition rather than predetermined sketches, Kurdpoor responds to spaces, architecture and their surroundings through her own visual language. Her practice has evolved from works on paper and canvas to large-scale murals, immersive light and digital art, and collaborations with cultural institutions and brands.
At the heart of her work is transformation: creating art that shifts perception, invites reflection and connects people with the spaces around them.
