Blossom - 2021

Berlin Rummelsburg - Leopoldstrasse 10

The second mural by artist Gita Kurdpoor, BLOSSOM, implies the fruit of being. Free yourself from the dark for a new beginning. In the beginning, the organ of every plant is the root prayed in the ground. Your task is to give the emerging plant support, an anchor. With the newly emerging root forms, several fruits emerge and flowers emerge. The awakening of spring, the redevelopment of the Kiez in the Berlin district of Rummelsburg, were influences that the artist wanted to depict in her mural.

The Tree Of The World - 2021

Berlin Charlottenburg - Niebuhrstrasse 55

In memory of Ben Wagin, The Kurdish-German artist Gita Kurdpoor and the Italian artist Mate have intentionally chosen to create a mural at Niebuhrstraße 55 in Charlottenburg. Kurdpoor, known for her mandalas and floral artworks, and Mate, recognized for his realistic portraits, are collaborating for the first time for the BerlinMuralFest. With their artwork, the two artists pay tribute to the recently deceased artist Ben Wagin. The tree has become his city-wide visible trademark, much like the large mural "Weltenbaum II" on the gable wall opposite the Savignyplatz S-Bahn station. The choice of motif is a homage to Wagin's individuality and to the creatives of this city, who have contributed to the urban landscape with their art in ways beyond mere images.
